Hexagon

A hexagon is a polygon with six sides.

Regular Hexagon

In a regular hexagon, the interior angle is $120^\circ$ and the exterior angle is $60^\circ$ .

A regular hexagon can be decomposed into six equilateral triangles. This shows that the long diameter is twice the side length, while the short diameter is $\sqrt{3}$ times the side length. The area is $\frac{3\sqrt{3}}{2}$ times the square of the side length.
