In the above diagram, point EE is so that ACEGA C E G is a rectangle. Therefore, EDE D has length 53=25 - 3 = 2 and EGE G has length 1+2=31 + 2 = 3. Therefore, rectangle GHDEG H D E is congruent to rectangle DIBCD I B C but rotated by 90 90^\circ. Hence angle GD^BG \hat{D} B is 90 90^\circ, and line segments GDG D and BDB D have the same length. Therefore, triangle GDBG D B is an isosceles right-angled triangle. Hence angle DB^GD \hat{B} G is 45 45^\circ.
